Moody vibes on a foggy London day.
I was commissioned to shoot a series of portraits of the good people of Hampden Capital Plc in The City over the last few months.
Hampden is a leading provider of specialist insurance, investment and financial support services.
It was really interesting getting a small inside look into The City’s world of finance.
We did more than 40 portraits and here is a small selection.
A special Thank You to James, Jonathan, Jenny and Seth.
The incredible Aja with the trace of time behind her.
(all done in camera by the way).
A Christmas Fairy captured earlier this year. x
Here is Yasmine Naghdi, principal dancer at The Royal Opera House, in full Sugar Plum Fairy costume as shot for The Sunday Times.
Thanks to Yasmine, Sarah and all at ROH for their time and hospitality.
We we’re in the midst of nowhere USA in the midwest and they we’re playing #Ozfest.
I remember Chester as being a great chilled out and friendly guy, with a glint in his eye. You could tell there was a lot ‘under the bonnet’ in the man.
This is a shot we did unplanned just before sunset close to St Louis I think. Its calmness and rock n roll all rolled into one.
I love that his skin tones match the wood and that the fingers are the reverse of the electrical pylon lines in the back.
God bless you man. You gave a lot of joy to a lot of people and will be sorely missed.
Really been enjoying being out and about on location recently.
I often use a ton of equipment in the studio, so its really liberating being out and about with just one lens, a bunch of cf cards and a reflector.
It’s all very natural and back to basics and can be a very playful approach to shooting a portrait.
Not that I’ve given up on my mega set ups in the studio mind!
Here are some of my favourites featuring Pippa, Marianna and Jana.
